A successful sale at Welshpool Livestock Market yesterday saw Wedderburn Gigi (affectionately known as Bubbles) top our trade at 2600gns, followed by Wedderburn Giggles at 2000gns.

Thank you to all buyers, underbidders and helpers yesterday. That’s the summer sales finished for us now and good luck to all buyers from sales and privately.
This pair of twins at the Royal Welsh show last week gained second in the ewe lamb class and third in the ram lamb class.

Wedderburn Hothead Henry
Wedderburn Hothead Henry and Wedderburn Holly Hock are sired by last year’s Royal Welsh male champion, Whatmore Guinness. They will be the first and only offspring to be offered for sale by him this year at Welshpool Society Sale on the 23rd August.
The pair of lambs then teamed up with the shearling ewe, Wedderburn Gladioli, to win second place in the group of three.
Wedderburn Gummy Bear also had third in the shearling ram class capping a successful week and we are very pleased with these results.
The annual sale at Worcester Livestock Market did not disappoint – what a sale indeed!
Topping our pen of shearling ewes was Wedderburn Golden Girl after she stood fourth in the class in the pre-sale show. Sired by the noted Glencoy Chance and out of the consistent breeder, Lochlad Conker, she was knocked down to Jade Bett for 2500gns.

We would like to wish all purchasers the best of luck with our sheep and we’d also like to thank the merry bunch of helpers who make it all possible.
Even with a record entry of females forward for the Premier Society sale at Carlisle it was Longfield Forest that caught our eye, securing her for 12,000gns. She travelled across the water from Robert Nelson, Ballymena, Northern Ireland. Forest is out of Glencloy Brooklyn and is sired by the infamous Challoch Bearskin. We’re looking forward to seeing what these new genetics bring to the flock.
Wedderburn Flirty topped Welshpool Autumn Sale when she sold to an undisclosed purchaser for 18,000gns. She is sired by Glencloy Chance and out of Import Candy Floss, Flirty is a full sister to Wedderburn Flipper who we sold for 10,000gns at Carlisle the previous week.
Leading the way at the Worcester Society sale was two of our shearling ewes topping the day at 2600gns.
The first to hit the 2600gns mark was Wedderburn Forest, a Glencoy Chance daughter out of a Hiroshima daughter, Lochlad Cuckoo. She headed home to Yeovil, Somerset with Ilona Thompson.

Joining her on the trailer home to Somerset with the previous purchaser was the second shearling ewe, Wedderburn Flower. She is out of an imported female and sired by Beili Everett.

Next up and selling for 1800gns was Pentre Elsa, a Lochlad Braveheart daughter out of an imported female. Having been served by Glencloy Chance, this one headed home to Hereford with Darren Mattia.
After securing the pre-sale female championship at Carlisle this month, our flashy ewe lamb Wedderburn Flipper later went onto sell for 10,000gns to the judge, Dave Roberts for his Boyo flock. She is sired by Glencloy Chance and is out of the 20,000gns imported female, Candy Floss (IM1028).
